Born in 2019, Progetto Sisma is an innovative startup with the aim of responding to the growing demand to renovate public and private buildings, making them safe and efficient, in a country that is more and more attentive and sensitive to seismic and environmental prevention problems.
Inserted within Mirandola TecnoPolo and recently joined Le villane by Ca di Parma, Progetto Sisma was awarded as an innovative start-up during a tender in 2019 and later, in 2021, won a tender for internationalization, both financed by Emilia-Romagna region.
Thanks to a dedicated team of researchers, technicians and university professors working as advisors, Progetto Sisma has patented “Resisto 5.9, the anti-seismic coat”: an innovative, effective and functional product, which allows to apply seismic reinforcement to any existing structure providing it with excellent thermal insulation, making homes structurally safer and more energy efficient. All this by intervening only from the outside, leaving the internal rooms usable, with clear costs and in a short time, similar to those of a normal external insulation system.
The name wants to pay homage and remember the victims of the Emilian earthquake events occured in 2012, where, in fact, 5.9 corresponds to the value of the maximum seismic shock recorded, in line with the mission of the company which believes that prevention is the only viable way against tragedies due to seismic events.
Resisto 5.9 system has a significant design freedom, which translates it into the guarantee of being able to intervene on almost all types of buildings, including through integration with other structural reinforcement solutions. From a structural point of view, Resisto 5.9 system has as its main goal the improvement or seismic adaptation of buildings and therefore falls within the scope of global interventions, aimed at redeveloping the entire structural organism. This goal can be pursued through an improvement in performance both respecting the local mechanisms or kinematics and both respecting the global mechanisms linked to the features of the elements.
Progetto Sisma constantly invests in research and innovation, employing young resources who fully share the company philosophy. For more information visit the web site: www.progettosisma.it
